Bujo is a popular burger joint located in the centre of Sandymount village. Bujo operates using a flame grille which, while it provides a beautifully cooked burger, releases a lot of odour, smoke and grease into the duct work.

In order to deal with this Eftech designed Bujos filtration system in 4 stages.

The first stage of filtration involves using our canopies baffle filters. These units are excellent at catching heavy grease and can be easily removed and cleaned on a daily basis by restaurant staff.

The second stage of filtration is our CleanStream Technology. CleanStream technology uses UV-C Lamps to produce Ozone (O3) which destroys 95% of odour and grease in the ducting system. The lamps have a 12000 hour operating life and can be easily cleaned and maintained by staff as they are mounted just behind the canopies baffle filters.

The third stage of filtration in Bujo is an Electrostatic precipitator (ESP) system selected and designed by Eftech. Whilst the Baffle Filters and UV-C lamps are excellent at dealing with grease and odour, the remaining smoke had to be neutralised. An ESP is a filtration device that removes fine particles, like dust and smoke, from a flowing gas using the force of an induced electrostatic charge. These are very efficient units and minimally impede the flow of gases through the unit.

The fourth and final stage of filtration is the activated carbon filters. Activated carbon is an excellent absorber of odours and provides the final scrub of the exhaust air as it is exhausted to the atmosphere.

Sandymount is a busy area and Bujo is located near many sensitive areas such as Christ Church Sandymount and Sandymount green. Any malodours from this establishment may cause complaints from the locals. Eftech provided a solution that not only destroys all odours and grease, but also saves money in other areas as there is no need for expensive and laborious duct cleaning.
